Gold and Stone

I’m wandering some grey stone ruins, winding up and down stairs, admiring the light glancing through gaps in the stone. I notice delicate geometric patterns painted in gold glinting here and there.

My dream was clearly inspired in part by the grey cement of Arcosanti, warped to be reminiscent of one of my favorite architects, Carlo Scarpa. Though I’ve never seen his work in person, I know I’ll find a way to some day.

Cherry Blossom Season

I stayed up late the night before, but I told myself I was getting up early to go see the cherry blossoms all in bloom.

Hawaiian Vacation

We’re in Hawaii for vacation, but as I understand it it’s kind of a Japan/Hawaii hybrid. We’re busing around the island, which is tedious, and we’re queuing up with the other tourists as we move from landmark to landmark, but I have to admit the view is worth it.

A vision: flowers and vines spill out of the silver bowl, which sits on the tabletop alone, daring anyone not to pay attention.

Street Food

We’re eating noodles at a street food stall. We’re supposed to order 6 things but we’ve only ordered three so far and they’re pretty big. We’re definitely going to have too much food.

Missed Flight

I dreamt we missed our flight because we fell asleep and didn’t wake up until 5 minutes before the flight. I have no idea what to do but I’m packing in a frenzy. Did I forget anything?? Somehow I imagine we’re still going to make it.

Japanese Songs

I’m trying to memorize all the names of the new Japanese records I’ve gotten, but it’s difficult and I’m being distracted by the people around me.

This mix was inspired by the home of my dreams, the land of the rising sun.

Abandoned City

We’re in a video game where we have to run all around San Francisco to get home.The map is incredibly difficult to navigate and at one point we’re making our way through a particularly silent part of the city. The streets are all deserted, the sun is just going down and it’s eerie and beautiful.

Lined Up

I’m driving all around for miles and miles. The drive is inexplicably hilly and windy. Finally I pull over and find a bunch of super smooth round rocks lined up.
